Variations by a Haiku Quintet

To embrace my dog,

I stretch out by his shadow,

Dark warmth is my sun.

A sweet aroma

Eucalyptus and coffee

Whisked and whirled by wind

Ten millennia,

We felt this ocean breeze run.

Now, I hear its screams.

Edge of the steep peak,

There is a place to feel calm.

Just do not look down.

Moonlit acacia,

The black below it, darkness.

Shade by daylight.
